These terms cover playmytale.com today: two free stories and the lists you can join for what comes next. Last updated 12 October 2026. Questions? Email hello@playmytale.com.
The short version
- The two stories on this site are free to play. No account, no card.
- The PlayMyTale app, the other stories and the hero story aren't available yet. Joining a list doesn't mean you have to buy anything, and we never take payment here.
- The first 500 founding families get their child's hero story free when it's ready. Details below.
- $7.99 a month is the price we plan to charge for membership. It may change before launch, and you'll see the real price before you pay anything.
What's available now
The Big Bear Hunt and The Three Little Pigs play free in your browser. You can play them as often as you like for your family's own use. Please don't copy, download or republish the films, pictures, voices or music; they belong to PlayMyTale.
The PlayMyTale app, the locked stories and the hero story are coming. The app isn't in the App Store or Google Play yet. If you tap a download button now, we'll tell you it's coming soon and ask if you'd like an email when it's out.
Joining a list
Joining the app list or the sign-up list is free. It means we'll email you when the app or the new stories are ready, and send the odd update about PlayMyTale. It doesn't commit you to buying anything, and you can unsubscribe at any time. You need to be 18 or over to join. How we handle your email is on the privacy page.
Price
We plan to charge $7.99 a month (US dollars) for membership. That's our planned price, not a current one: nothing is on sale yet. It may change before launch, and prices in your country may differ. You'll always see the price before you pay, and you won't be charged unless you choose to buy.
Founding families offer
- What you get. One personalised story film starring your child: their name in the title and them in the film, next to Levi and Anna. You'll also be able to play the 8 stories shown as locked on our home page free as each one is released.
- Who gets it. The first 500 families to join either list, counted in the order we receive their emails. One per family and one per email address. Joining both lists still counts as one place. It's free and you don't have to buy anything.
- When. We'll email you when the hero story is ready. To make it, we'll need a few details about your child, such as a first name and a photo. We'll explain exactly what we need and how we use it, and we'll only go ahead with your permission as their parent.
- The fine print. It has no cash value and can't be swapped or passed on. If the hero story changes before launch, you'll get the version we release. If we can't make it at all, we'll tell you by email and the offer ends. We may refuse places that use fake or duplicate emails. The offer is open in every country where PlayMyTale launches.

The free stories as they are
We work hard to keep the stories running and suitable for young children, but we offer the free site as it is and may change or remove things. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under your local consumer law.
Changes
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. A change won't take away a founding family place you already hold.
